Here's what I'm staring at, all courtesy of that amazing, wonderful, free place called the library...
- The Opposite of Love by Julie Buxbaum-- I think I read about this on Manic's site a long time ago... I have a bad memory, so I could totally be making that up, but either way, it's been on my TBR list for a while, and I picked up last time I dropped by the library. I hope to start it tonight!
- Street Gang: The Complete History of Sesame Street by Michael Davis-- It's about Sesame Street, and I was born in the 70's. What more is there to say?
- The Geography of Bliss: One Grump's Search for the Happiest Places in the World by Eric Weiner-- I heard of this a while ago, and it is the February selection for my online book club. (And the guy's name is pronounced WEE-ner, and since I have the sense of humor of an 8 year old boy, I just had to point that out.)
- Funny in Farsi: A Memoir of Growing Up Iranian in America by Firoozeh Dumas-- Not sure when I first heard of this author, but I think it was on NPR, and I was intrigued by her sense of humor.
- Sex & Sensibility: The Thinking Parent's Guide to Talking Sense about Sex by Deborah Roffman-- I heard this author as part of a discussion on the Kojo Nnamdi show on NPR, and I had borrowed it from the library. I am notorious for taking months and months to get through a nonfiction book, so I ended up buying this one when I could no longer renew my library copy... I'm only a few chapters in, but I'm really connecting with the author's straightforwardness.
