it's just not my day

I mean honestly, can I do anything but whine on here these days? I'll spare you all the ridiculously stupid details and just put down this crappy, crappy day in numbers form:

4: The number of Verizon customer service representatives who I spoke to today, with little or no success in fixing the multiple issues since our recent switch.

2: The number of Verizon customer service representatives who I had to insist upon giving me the bottom line answer to the issues that they were simply not addressing.

1: The number of Verizon customer service representatives who I told, "Switching to Verizon may possibly be the stupidest thing I've done lately!"

2: The number of children who have spent the entire day cooped up inside on a rainy day and opted to scream and cry for 90% of that time.

3: The number of time outs that Mommy had to take today just to remain sane.

2: The number of rooms with holes in the ceiling in our house.

What?? Does that not sound right to you? Did you think it was just down to the kitchen since that last leak? Well, you would have been correct until late this afternoon. Why's that, you ask? Let's just leave with one more stat from today.

1: The number of ceilings that I fell through while trying to navigate a darkened attic. Oh yeah.

The story is really kind of laughable, if you're not me right now, and I fully admit to not shining the flashlight down on the semi-floor while trying to search for something. My whole right leg went through the kids' bathroom ceiling, and I will be sporting a fine looking bruise on my sausage-like thigh by tonight. What a complete loser thing to do at the end of a cruddy day. (This was that cranky ranting I was talking about last time...)

With a bruised leg and beat-up ego,
