So, no deep thoughts beyond the obvious realization that Lovely Hubby and I need to have more time together-- time to be adults, time to enjoy each others' company, time to hang with friends. Maybe next time we won't have an excuse to get so dressed up, but that's okay. (Although he does really clean up nice, huh??)

So, who wants to babysit next?? All joking aside, I think we may actually be getting out again this coming weekend, since we just happened to realize, it's our 11th wedding anniversary! Yeah, perhaps a celebration is in order!
Cheering for dates with my hubby,
Wow--happy anniversary! Our's is May 30, and we are going to a friend's wedding on our anniversary (which will be our tenth--which makes us feel very old despite the fact that our friends are the same age). Anyway--I hope you have a very happy anniversary--what a great excuse to sneak in another date night :)
ReplyDeleteYou both look GORGEOUS! I'm so glad you got a night out, and Happy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteyou guys look great in that photo. happy anniversary! 11 years! wow-za's!
ReplyDeleteYou both look great! - Kirsten
ReplyDeleteThree cheers!
ReplyDeleteYes, you are wearing the grins of two people who have just found your freedom!
With our busy tween's schedule, we sometimes find that arranging a date and going out is more stressful than restorative, but when we do it, we never regret it.
Well, you know anytime you want company for an adults-only night, you can give us a shout. We're always up for doing something!
ReplyDeleteAnd you really looked beautiful the other night. It was so good to get to see you guys!
Hooray for a night out! Congrats on eleven years together!
ReplyDeleteLove the happy photo! And yes, adult only outings are fun!
ReplyDeleteFirst off, happy anniversary! Hope you have a great date to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteNext, I sure know what you mean about finding those adult times out. We have an evening wedding in July so the kids are staying with friends and I'm already looking forward to it.
Finally, I am also a huge fan of DiSaronno Amaretto, Yum! Yet another thing we have in common. When we were in Japan, the local bar made the best Amaretto sour by simply using fresh squeezed lemon juice, Amaretto and a sugared rim. It is heavenly if you've never tried it that way. No more sweet and sour mix for me. My other favorite is called a toasted almond--equal parts Amaretto, Kaluha and half and half. I probably shouldn't be thinking about alcohol this early in the morning. ;)
You guys look so happy in the pic! Hope you have many great 'dates' like this one!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!!!!!! 11 years! We celebrated our 14th this past April. Amazing how time flies, and at the same time crazy how many things happened in all those years! Congrats again and have a great celebration!
Oh how fun to go out two weekends in a row! Good for you, and here's hoping you keep it up. It does always feel good when you're out as adults, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteDawn--your boobs look good and the dress is fantastic! You both look great. Did you get the new bra? Are we still friends now that I brought up your boobs on the internet?

ReplyDeleteHey! Where did my comment go? I posted yesterday - just after dim sum? Crazy.
ReplyDeleteI think that is a fabulous picture of the two of you. So glad you were able to make it out alone. Here's to many more "alone" dates!
Hahaha!! Jamie talked about your boobs.
ReplyDeleteNice job friend! I LOVE times out with my husband and like you said, I NEED it, it's like marriage insurance :)
