*Let's Bake a Family-- a cute children's book about accepting a stepparent and the joys that a new blended family can bring.
*Thanks for the Memories-- a fluffy, chick-lit book that fits well in a beach bag!
*Young Revolutionaries Who Rock: An Insider's Guide to Saving the World One Revolution at a Time-- a book targeted at teens about activism.
And how about the giveaways, you ask??
*If You Give a Mom a Martini: 100 Ways to Find 10 Blissful Minutes for Yourself-- Only one of these suggestions is alcohol-related, and the other 99 are varied ideas for quick little mom time-outs. Some are funny, others are more serious, but they all are great ideas. (Even if I would take a margarita before the martini!) The contest is open through Monday morning, and there aren't that many entries so far, so you've got good odds on your side! Leave a comment to enter-- it couldn't be easier!
*Eye Like and Incredible Books-- Amazing photos and informative text make these children's series a fantastic addition to any family library. Leave a comment and some could be yours!
And I would be remiss if I didn't plug our Everyone is Beautiful bookclub just one last time. There were some great reviews linked up, and I was a giggly and starstruck fool during the podcast with the author, Katherine Center. Listen if you're in the mood for a laugh-filled and thoughtful discussion!
Happy reading,
You weren't a fool! You were very erudite and well-spoken.
ReplyDeleteThe chat with her afterwards was even more fun than the podcast.
Well sign me up for the prizes! If I was a great mom I'd beg for the kid books, but I'm only a mediocre mom who is much more intrigued by the other book. Even if there IS only one alcohol related suggestion. ;)
