updated 11/08/09: Man, with the birthday festivities yesterday, I never saw google, so I'm wondering who got the 11/07 honor of appearing... was it Oscar?? (Yup, it was!) I just KNEW that Elmo would make an appearance at some point, but I didn't predict the shaking letters!

Happy birthday to you multicolored & multilingual monsters! Grover, you always were my favorite, with your "near and far" bit still making me smile 30 years later. (Sorry you didn't get your own individual doodle, man!!)
I am proud to say that I grew up with Sesame Street, and I think the kidlets and I will be watching this morning as a birthday celebration!
