While it's certainly been good for a particular member of the family who was thiiiiis close to going crazy from screaming-kids-in-a-tiny-house syndrome, it took its toll on the NPR story spotting game I like to play, and share with the masses on Wednesdays. (Yes, 5 readers can be a mass...) Seriously? I have two stories. One. Two. And one was actually a rebroadcast from the previous week. Lame-o.
- "Michael Moore"-- Sure, most people either love or hate the guy, but his interview with Diane Rehm that was rebroadcast this weekend was interesting and reminded me that behind his theatrics, I believe this guy really cares. I perceive some differences between his work and style and those of his counterparts on the "other side." I only caught the last 20 minutes or so of this piece, so I'll have to save it to listen to later.
- "New U.K. Hospital Gown Won't Flap Open At Back"-- The headline alone is surely making at least some of you say, "It's about stinking time!!" Just a bitty little story that made me giggle.
That may be all the NPR I got this week, folks, but please do let me direct you in two additional directions, if you'd be so kind:
- If you fit the bill for the Girl World Giveaway that I am running until Friday, or know anyone in the DC area who does, please enter!! I have two sets of tickets to a Mother (or mother figure)/Tween Daughter event in April, and I only have three entries, so your odds are still pretty decent! Spread the word for me, will ya?
- Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I'm kinda pleased with my attempts at humor in a post I have on DC Metro Moms today- Can you hear them now? Yeah, I thought so. Have I mentioned before that my kids are CRAZY loud?
Happy Hump Day,

I'm sorry, it can't be true. We all know that there can't be any innovation in a health care system that's not under the thrall of consumer-driven capitalism. Only money drives companies to make lives better, right?
ReplyDeleteLoved your DC Metro article!

@Abbot- money, money, money! Ugh...
ReplyDelete@Z-Kids- thanks so much! I take that as a big compliment, because you are one funny guy yourself!
