I, too, have seen Nurture Shock and wondered if it was worth a look--especially since I tend to be a bit of a 'march to a different drummer' parent in many ways as it is. Thanks for your thoughts on the book!

I think I need to read Nurture Shock as well. I thought so after I read Lauren's review as well.

I went back and read my review of Matrimony that you linked to, and may I just say that's one fine review?? I like it when I surprise and impress myself.

But seriously, I hesitate to recommend that book to people because it is so slow-moving, but after re-reading that (fine!) review, I may reconsider that and commence recommending it.
