Man, the blog sure does suffer when life gets turned upside down, huh? We have spent the last 6 days or so deep in home improvement projects, and when I say
we, I mean lovely hubby and his fantastic father who came to help. I have been on nonstop kid-watch, which isn't all that different than normal, except that I had to work overtime since my usual co-worker was otherwise occupied. I did, however, get a couple of opportunities to contribute a bit to the effort during
nap times and after the kids were tucked in each night. Mostly my measly contributions involved clean-up type activities, but I did get the pleasure of rolling that
Chai Latte crap off my kitchen walls, replacing it with a cool, calm
Mountain Haze. The
list has seen its fair share of additions, check marks and revisions in this past week, and much to lovely hubby's delight, I merged several of the ongoing lists into one Master List today, organized by room and including every small detail that I could think of that needs to be done until we can officially declare the downstairs level of our tiny home
FINISHED. Oh, how I
love that word.
And, of course, I stink at doing the whole pictures en
masse thing on here
(or I'm too lazy...), but thankfully, lovely hubby excels at this very task. So, if you have any interest in following along in the house saga, you can head over to
his post that documents where the project stood as of Monday night. They did accomplish a whole lot more on Tuesday, but we're in somewhat of a work slow-down now that my two-man crew needed to return to regular life today. That probably means many more working-til-midnight kind of nights for the big guy and me, and even more time on weekends will need to be devoted to these jobs. My deadline for hubby
(yeah, I know I sound like a task-master...) is Red's birthday party in 24 days. Totally doable. Hopefully.
Still peeling bits of
Mountain Haze off my hands,
I love green! You picked excellent colors. What an amazing job everyone is doing. I am totally impressed. Thank you for the link to pictures :) . Hope things return to normal soon.
ReplyDeleteDeadlines are a good thing! Some people need them and work better under some minor pressure. (I'm specifically talking about myself). :-)
ReplyDeleteOh c'mon... one of my best friends took nine years to make her house liveable (seriously, they just moved in last September)... several deadlines came and went. But she didn't divorce her husband ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting to see the latte, but I think it will have to be another day. I do like the green you chose!
