5 words or less? ha!

Okay, I'm here just once more giving a quick little plug to the Book Bloggers Appreciation Week awards. Did you hear? My fellow 5 Minutes for Books reviewers and I are still thinking winning thoughts for our two nominations!

Today, the BBAW is asking book lovers all around to answer some of the following questions. They asked for the answers in five words or less... ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha...

Do you snack while you read? If so, favorite reading snack?
Nah, not enough hands.

Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of writing in books horrify you?
Highlighted passages + margin notes= love!

How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears?
Bookmarks, post-its, tissues even!

Laying the book flat open?
A tube of toothpaste works in a pinch while you wash your hands! (More than 5 words... shoot me.)

Fiction, Non-fiction, or both?
Fiction is first love. Nonfiction when I want to appear smarter.

Hard copy or audiobooks?
Learning to love audiobooks... somewhat...

Are you a person who tends to read to the end of chapters, or are you able to put a book down at any point?
Want to end at end of chapters, but have three children who like to interrupt my reading pursuits.

If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop to look it up right away?
If dictionary.com is nearby.

What are you currently reading?
Check my shelfari over there. ---->

What is the last book you bought?
Hubby recently bought When You are Engulfed in Flames for me.

Are you the type of person that only reads one book at a time or can you read more than one at a time?
I try to juggle books, and I usually fail.

Do you have a favorite time of day and/or place to read?
Anywhere, anytime. Usually toilet. (TMI?)

Do you prefer series books or stand alone books?
Hmmm... no preference, I guess.

Is there a specific book or author that you find yourself recommending over and over?
The Time Traveler's Wife. Best book ever.

How do you organize your books? (By genre, title, author’s last name, etc.?)
Many books + small house + IKEA furniture= wherever they fit!

Alright, I went over the 5 word limit again and again, but at least I made a valiant effort. What do you think? You got any book love to share this week?

Happy reading as always,

  1. "Highlighted passages + margin notes= love!"
    Yes! Thank you!
Actually, I avoid this temptation as I share alot of my reads with my girls. I want them to experience the read without my thoughts intruding.

Audiobooks, I have found a love and place in my life for them. They actually can be real good if they have a good narrator(s).

Time-Traveler's Wife, does not surprise me that you recommend this book.

  3. Funny. I said the same thing about chapters. And your kids don't bug you while you're on the toilet?? Really? How did you manage that?!
