now posting regularly

Thankfully, the radio waves have not been affected by the massive snowstorms that have marked this week in our collective memory for a long time to come. But, with everyone home from school and work, and our normal day to day routine a little off, I realize that I didn't bookmark a whole lot of NPR this week. So, just a few options for your browsing pleasure...

  • Another All Things Considered story caught my ear, especially after a story on the same topic was included in last week's NPR list. "Scientist: Autism Paper Had Catastrophic Effects" is an excellent interview with a professor of vaccinology who has written a book about autism. A controversial subject, surely, but one that needs to continue to be talked about and researched.
  • How about a triple play for All Things Considered? With the snowstorm of forever upon the DC area, it shouldn't be a surprise that it's the topic of NPR stories, but I absolutely LOVE the twist they put on it for this story- "Wintry Literature For a Snowy Day." If you're a book lover (and I know the vast majority of you reading this absolutely are!), you've got to give this short piece a listen!
  • And for a final entry, get ready to laugh. This take on the rising additional costs that have been put in place over the last few years for air travel will leave you giggling... and maybe wondering? Marketplace is the program to thank for this dose of humor in "What else can airlines charge us for?"

Keep on keeping on,
