We recently did a big old attic purge, which led to a giant donation and a few items put up for sale. Unfortunately, only one of those items actually got purchased, so it's time for craigslist, round two. But really, we're nowhere near the end of the clearing out that we need to do. We still haven't quite gotten the knack of small-house-living, and our stuff is just too much.
So, a rainy Sunday morning is much more appropriate for lying about, book in hand, blanket draped across one's legs, ignoring the ticking of the clock as the hours fly away. Ah well. Instead, I'll be trying my hand at gaining some momentum and trying for the record of most loads of laundry completed in one day.
Ready, set, alright... here we go.
Going for gold,

You need the ultimate motivator - parental visit. Works wonders for us. :)
ReplyDeletei can't tell you how often i wish i could read for hours (or all day!) on the weekend- like the old days! i hear you!
ReplyDeletereading? leisurely? what's that?!? oh, I've been on the computer wandering around aimlessly instead... ; )
ReplyDeleteand I second comment #1 about parental visit a good motivator. my laundry is still relatively under control (though almost at the tipping point the wrong way) and it's already been two weeks since my MIL visited. that's a good indicator.
