MTE reviews: Miracle Foot Repair Cream

During a recent trip to Target, we didn't just purchase a ridiculously overpriced, falsely advertised toy, but I also hit the health and beauty section in an attempt to find something to help my poor feet, which were ravaged and extremely dried out from our recent beach and camping trips. I opted to take a chance on a product that I hadn't purchased before. I was in desperate need of a miracle.

Don't let the "as seen on TV" appearance fool you, apparently House of Aloe's Miracle Foot Repair Cream is America's #1 selling foot cream. I'm not sure how big that market is, but I do know that I have a crapload of lotions in my own possession, with many promising the smooth heels I'm so desperately seeking. After a thorough self-done foot scrubbing/dead skin removal, I pulled out the cream and began the first of three consecutive days of lotioning up my feet, especially focusing on the terribly cracked heels. Two to three times a day, I put the cream all over my feet, keeping a pair of socks on so I wouldn't leave lotiony footprints all over our downstairs tile floors.

After three days, (which, for the record, is just an arbitrary amount of time, and not part of any sort of guarantee or anything posited by the product... it also happens to be the amount of time that I can remember to focus on putting lotion on my feet multiple times a day...), I'm thrilled to report that I saw a significant change. While my feet weren't model smooth (like the rest of my body... ha ha ha ha!), they were definitely less cracked, which happily translated into the disappearance of the shooting pains that had been accompanying my every step for days and days. The lotion itself is neutral smelling, which I like, and it was absorbed well into my skin, not leaving a gross, greasy, squishy feeling when I walked.

Sadly, I'm in need of a renewed focus on my feet after a week of not applying the lotion. Some dryness is again visible, but nowhere near the deep cracks of earlier. I'm thinking that if I can get into a regular routine of putting this cream on even just once a day, I'll see continued miracle foot repairing.

I know it's not the most exciting product in the world to talk about, but since it is summer, I've seen lots of bare feet as of late, and let's just say that I'm not the only one out there in need of some foot cream. If you're looking for some miracles on your own feet, I can say that this is also comparable to the prices of the other creams I saw on the Target shelf. I paid under $9 for a 3.75 oz bottle. I anticipate I'll go through the bottle quickly if I get serious about regular application, but I'm willing to pay that for feet that aren't painful all summer long.

**Disclosure: I did not receive any compensation or products associated with this review. In fact, I'm just a dork that wanted to blog about my cracked feet and the cool lotion that took away the pain.

Smoothly yours,
