MTE reviews: Curious George Holiday Spectacular

Looking for some fun family entertainment this holiday week? Look no further than your local PBS station for a mischievous little monkey doted upon by a man in a ridiculously large canary-colored hat, who just happens to be perfectly voiced by one of my very favorite comedic actors.

That's right, the fabulous family film Curious George is making its broadcast premiere on PBS stations nationwide as part of the CURIOUS GEORGE Holiday Spectacular. This couldn't be a better forum, since PBS already brings us the beloved television version of Curious George everyday!

Mark the calendar for this Wednesday, November 23rd, to see a trio of monkey movies: Curious George, Curious George 2: Follow That Monkey, and Curious George: A Very Monkey Christmas.

The kids and I have seen two of these three movies before, and we're looking forward to spending some down time over the next few days when school is closed. I love that the Curious George movies are entertaining without being inappropriate for young children, and that best of all, there's a storyline without a crazy-intense and emotional conflict in the middle to get my children all freaked out like in most kids' movies. (You know I'm looking at you house o'mouse.) And who can stop themselves from singing along to the AWESOME soundtrack of the first movie, with songs performed by Jack Johnson, already a favorite CD of my kids!

So, if you've got some free time with your own kiddos coming up this Wednesday, be sure to check your local PBS listings for the showtimes in your area for the CURIOUS GEORGE Holiday Spectacular. Get your family fun on with an adorable little monkey and his wacky adventures!

**Disclosure: I was provided a kit for hosting a Curious George Holiday screening party, including a copy of the Curious George DVD and craft materials. All opinions expressed here are most definitely my own, for I've had a lifelong love for that cheeky little monkey.

Curiously yours,
