don't fail me now!

I'm blogging at you for a brief moment tonight from hubby's laptop, with its standard-sized keyboard that now challenge my typing skills since I've become accustomed to my dear little netbook.  My beloved mini computer made its blogging debut back in February 2009, complete with an image that was only slightly smaller than reality itself.  Its been my faithful companion ever since, and I like to think of it as my fourth baby.

Well, it's certainly acting like a member of this family these days, with its sudden desire to be uncooperative, malfunctioning in little ways here and there.  First the internal mic stopped working.  Then the internal webcam went kaput.  And now, it just won't start-up all the way.  I'm sure this is somehow related to the new antivirus software download that took place last night, but so far the efforts that I've made at the direction of the very patient Costco Concierge guy have not yielded the kind of results that give me a functioning computer.

I'm very, very sad.  I need this little lifeline, and it certainly hasn't provided enough service to my online addiction just yet.
