But a little moment of bigness wouldn't be terrible, right?
In less than a week's time, I'll be getting on an airplane all by my lonesome to fly the farthest I've ever flown by myself. I'm going to be met by someone at baggage claim. Someone holding a card. A card with my name on it. Yup. That person will hopefully help me pull my suitcase off that thing that goes way too freaking fast for anxious folks like me, before driving me to a hotel.
The Four freaking Seasons Hotel!
That's right folks, little old me is going to Beverly Hills. For about 36 hours, I'll be living a life much larger than usual.
I'll be attending some events for the upcoming movie Hop, in order to cover it for 5 Minutes for Mom. Have you seen the trailer in all its adorableness?
This will involve a screening of the movie before it releases and a cocktail party afterward with a group of other bloggers. Sounds amazing, right? Well guess what? That's just the beginning, because we also get to attend a press junket (a phrase that causes me to feel more than a little weird even typing).
With the talent.
Yup. We get to meet and round-table interview the stars. Russell Brand. James Marsden. Kaley Cuoco. Hank Azaria. And little old me.
And inadvertently, I've been doing research this weekend, since we watched this past week's rerun episode of Modern Family (James Marsden guest starring- hilariously!), watched the latest episode of The Big Bang Theory on the DVR (Kaley Cuoco in fine comic form), caught Get Him to the Greek on Showtime with hubby last night (Russell Brand making me laugh so hard I collapsed into a couple coughing fits), and played Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian for the kids tonight (Hank Azaria as the lisping ancient Egyptian ruler, as funny as always).
I'm thrilled to represent 5 Minutes for Mom... hopefully I'll be able to transform this mind-blowing experience into a couple of posts about the movie, the stars, and the entire weekend. And yes, there will be pictures, whenever they let me take them.
Starting with the guy holding that sign with my name on it.
Ready for my spotlight,
(okay, not really...),
