- "Rare Rhino Makes Public Appearance"-- From The Picture Show on NPR's website comes a story that you've got to click over just to see the video clip of one of the planet's most endangered animals. Amazing.
- "More Young People Scorning Sex, Study Finds"-- Over on Shots, NPR's health blog, a story caught my eye, because, well admit it, that headline would catch your eye, too. I have to admit that I'm surprised, but as the mother of a tween, I'm not going to scoff because I'm hopeful that it is possible for kids to delay sexual activity until they're older and better able to make a responsible decision!
- "Watch: Danielle Evans' Short Story Reading At NPR"-- Having read and LOVED Before You Suffocate Your Own Fool Self (linked to my 5M4B review), I was thrilled to see this story on NPR's website. Another video to watch!
- "Study: Diet May Help ADHD Kids More Than Drugs"--I'm not sure why I'm linking to this All Things Considered story on a study that I think is a bunch of bullshit. I could go on and on (surprised?), but suffice it to say that I'm not taking much stock in this one's "findings."
- "Gotcha! Elephant Caught Cheating"-- It must be video week here, because on Krulwich Wonders... An NPR Sciencey Blog, there's yet another piece with video features that help to tell the story. Of duplicitous elephants, of course.
- Okay, this one isn't from NPR, but I think it's well worth sharing. Mitch Albom ponders the whole NPR "sting" of late in the Detroit Free Press article NPR loses in 'gotcha,' but what was won?
Still a loyal NPR listener,
