now posting regularly

Okay, let's just call this the "quickie" edition, because some technical difficulties were causing my radio bookmark to act all wonky, and I only have two stories to share this week that I remembered about. It appears that everything is back to normal with my beloved radio bookmark, so hopefully next week's post will be a little meatier.

  • "'Suicide By Cop' Leads Soldier On Chase Of His Life"-- This is one incredible, amazing story, and it's much better to take in by listening to it rather than just reading the transcript. It's a 20-minute long piece from All Things Considered, but honestly, it's worth every single minute to listen. I'm tearing up just remembering it.
  • "Dan Savage: For Gay Teens, Life 'Gets Better'"-- Okay, so only two stories, but two long ones. This 45-minute segment from Fresh Air is a fabulous interview with Dan Savage, who began the "It Gets Better" movement with his husband, Terry Miller. Savage is about as upfront a person as they come, and I always enjoy hearing him talk or reading his stuff.

Well, even when I fall asleep on the job, NPR is always there online with solid content.

Happy listening,
